Various Types of Welding Machines for Fabrication Process

Welding refers to joining of metals and thermoplastics. Welding Machines can be widely arranged in categories depending on process and equipment used during the process. They are useful for some determination to achieve or manufacture something and the welder needs a proper welding tool to obtain a good control over the work.   • MIG Welding Machines: They are most adaptable and commonly used in home, workshop, industry. MIG welding can weld metals such as aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel. A widely used machine in this regard is Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), or Tungsten Inert gas (TIG) welding, which requires three heats, filler metal, and shielding for proper operation.
  • TIG Welding Machines: It is specialized software than MIG. They are adaptable for accuracy of work and can weld more types of metal such as bronze, brass, gold, stainless steel and copper. It also gives you pure welding without smoke and spark.
  • Arc Welding Machines: It is an important process for the manufacture of steel structures and vehicles. It is helpful in the creation of an electric arc with the help of a welding power supply. The machine connects the arc with an electrode, along with a base material with the motive to melt the metals at the welding point. They use either direct or on alternate current.
  • Gas Welding Machines: It requires a mix of acetylene and oxygen to release an intense flame, at around 3,500 degrees centigrade. When the flame hits the steel, it melts the surface forming a melted puddle, allowing welding to take some place. Oxyacetylene finds its best use for brazing, bronze welding, forging / shaping metal and cutting.

  • The repairing can be easy.
  • Welded joints have a low initial cost.
  • Less matching is required after welding.
Welded joints thus find their broad use in the repairing of worn surfaces. You can also choose shielded active gas welding or friction welding, both being the processes of solid state welding processes, in which metal does not melt.

Welding machines help in simplifying different types of jobs undertaken in small and large manufacturing companies. Automated welding machines are equally effective increasing the productivity of welding processes.
